January 2021 marks the ten year anniversary of the Law Office of S. Grynwajc being founded in London and New York. That founding marked the culmination of over twenty years of legal experience, including 15 years as an in-house lawyer in the tech industry, and the beginning of the firm that has taught tech companies all across the world to act globally and think locally. With as many tide shifts as having happened in the last decade, we are proud to be thriving and still offering an exclusive approach to foreign law.
In honor of the occasion, we wanted to shine a spotlight on the man himself: Stephan Grynwajc! He is a European and Canadian lawyer in New York with nearly thirty years of professional experience in the technology sector. He is a graduate of the Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne and New York University Schools of Law. He also obtained a business degree from ESCP Europe, one of Europe’s leading business schools. He is a member of the French bar, the Law Society of England and Wales, and the New York bar. He is also admitted as a Canadian lawyer.
Stephan has been an attorney since the early 1990s. He worked in-house and as a General Counsel from 1997 until 2010, working extensively in the technology sector in both Europe and the U.S. This means that he intimately understands the inner workings of technology companies with international operations, having been “in the trenches” for the majority of his professional career.
In 2011, he founded his own firm, the Law Office of S. Grynwajc. His unique experience of working in the American, Canadian, and European legal systems allowed him to offer a unique approach to foreign law. If an American business is expanding to Europe, normally that would require two law firms. With Stephan’s experience, it can handle both sides of the transatlantic business.
